Cardiff
Bus – Cardiff, South Glamorgan
It’s
an unfortunate reality that in recent years the threat of
terrorism has changed the way in which public transport
operators must provide security to their passengers and to
vehicles, whilst not in operation.
Cardiff
Bus has served the city and surrounding areas for over
100 years and is a wholly owned and operated
company
of Cardiff County Council. The main depot is situated in
Sloper Road, in the Leckwith area of the city and is host
to administration offices, maintenance garages and over
250 fleet vehicles. 1001 Security Systems were chosen as
a provider for a CCTV solution in both the Sloper Road
(head office) and the Saint David’s House Travel
Shop, in Wood Street.
Site
manager for the Sloper Road head office, Vincent Kavanagh
helps to explain why 1001 Security Systems
were
chosen as the provider for CCTV security; “With a
heightened security policy on UK public transport, depots
too need to be secure twenty four hours-a-day. 1001 Security
Systems offer a round the clock service that suits our
requirements, with little fuss and at a realistic cost.”
